In this week edition of Autocar the R8 beat off the GT3RS, Cayman and M3 E92 to become their Driver's Car of the Year.

It recorded the high lateral Gs of any car that day, including the wee Lotus trackday special. A truly amazing result for Audi engineering.

A hell of a victory for Audi but if you look at the leader board, out of the top five cars four of them are in the Porsche/VAG group which is very interesting.

P.S.

Not to rub it in but this may be Audi first ever win of such an event but with the exclusion of Porsche, no other German company has won one or even come close. A feather in it's cap for Quattro GmbH over the more established rivals from M-Division and AMG.

RussianM3_dude,

I have read some of your recent posts and this latest one takes the biscuit. Can ask you something, are you a woman because women generally don't know a single thing about cars and I am seeing similarities in some of your comments. :eye:

Have you forgot that the RS4 has won numerous awards and to the best of my knowledge it's only been out for 2 years. But you should already know this as you say you happen to drive one.

It's not a sports car. A sporty-ish sedan. Not a sports car. A sports car has 2 doors generally.
