This after a poor 0-100 of 4.8. Maybe a round of good tests is about to be unleashed. I hear rumours Car & Driver got a fantastic time on their official test with a 0-100mph in the 9's, but let's wait for the official numbers:

i have the Magazine and they wrote wrong, on the testreading they wrote 15.7 sec for the M3 15.2 for the R8.

they said, the m3 has better handling but the R8 is faster.

IMOH i dont think that the M3 has better handling than the R8

R8 has the best handlling supercar after Veyron which handle extremely easy and very fast, so R8 is better on every test than the new M3, and also we all know that RS4 handlle much better than the new M3 so BMW now is in another league, the league of nr.3 in German brands...1.Audi, 2.Mercedes Benz, 3.BMW...we all know that is the top of the brands of sporstscars and performance range.

Actually that 15.7s in text is the typo... 15.2s is correct number. My friend works for AZ and he emailed me that correction...

New Michelin Pilot Sport Cup+! This tire is OEM on new 997 GT2 and M3(but, only on 19" and with M Drivers Package option-280km/h)... I have a nice brochure about new Cup+ tires...

BUT, do not forget that Pirelli P Zero The Hero on R8(19") are specially developed by Pirelli for R8. In fact Hero's on R8 have special little signature on it(something a la N1 and N0 Porsche signatures).

I wonder why the M Drivers Package limits the topspeed to 280km/h, is it maybe to protect the engine possibly. ;)

He is repeating what Autocar reckon themselves. The new C350 comfortable beat the 330i in their recent test but as for the A4 besting them all I think it's a bit soon for that just yet. But as this is an Audi website most here already think Audi are ahead so he is repeating what the majority already believe.

15s not bad at all and i wonder how the CSL will do to 200km/h as it apparently is coming to a dealer near you Sept. 2008
