Is there any tuning products on the market yet for the RS6?
MTM or Hoenester?

Without the electronic stop at 250km/h the top speed should probably reach 300km/h, or what do you think? :D

MTM and BB yes, also ABT,Wimmer rennsporttechnik and Digit Power and Sportec. The two last are based in Switzerland;all the tuners have a little tuning around 3000euros with around 500ch and between 650nm 700nm torque with vmax close to 300kmh:)

This one is quite nice. From SKN Tuning (http://www.skn-tuning.de). Including the 'must-have' annoying sounds often common with German websites.

I would be nice if they made a test and compared the tuners to one another! Always intresting to see if they perform as promised!
But one of the few test like that, I have read was made by the swedish magazine, Bilsport. And I somehow doubt that they will test it for the RS6 :D

The RS6 Avant that we drove in June topped out at 280 km/h, and that was with a full tank of gas (not for long), and five, full-sized, adults!

A friend that is driving a MTM chipped version around, with 500 bhp, claims to have hit 310 kp/h.

Very impressive.

As an aside, my dealer (USA) called me today to let me know the order sheets will be available in December. He also started buttering me up regarding some price gouging that they will partake in.

Let's see... no Avant, no recaro interior, no nav plus (I consider the US nav to be Nav Minus actually), no piano black trim, etc., etc., but there will be dealership price gouging? I was not impressed. To the point where I am considering waiting and importing an Avant from Europe, outfitted the way I want.

Thats a pretty nice topspeed! :-) What has been modified except for the chipp if he reaches 500bhp?

Do you have any 0-200 km/h times after the upgrade?

Swedish company Dahlback Racing has already chipped a Luxembourg based RS6.
I wasn't able to get any more information but as soon there's a new one in the 'lab' I'll let you know more.

DBR is using MTM.

Maybe with 18" wheeks the accelaration times would be better, but those 19" really ROCK.

I guess 17" and less can be forgotten on the RS6 but when measuring performance bolt on the 15" - 17" for best performance.

On the street, 19" or 20" for looks :cool2: :king:

BBS Challange 19" for the RS6.

I really hope they make more versions available, but this one is nice too.

I guess i would be pretty hard to fit 15" over those brakes ;)

But maybe som lightweight 17" would fit, and I bet it would do some good for the preformance! :D

You need 18" for the RS6 unless you want smaller brakes...

It will be really interesting to see in a while a big match between all the tuned RS6 and to know who is the tuner who makes the best performance:addict:

Totally agree with you mate.. I'm edging towards MTM.. (only because I fancy their badge on the back of my RS ).. but I'm going to keep it standard just a while longer.. make sure there are no problems first :D

I keep my MTM badge where it should be, in the glove compartment.

Only I know about the :MTM: , and that is enough :D

That´s the way to go, I bet it must be fun to see those stock 2.7 T staying way behind you on highways wondering what the hell happened to their cars.

Not many 2.7TQs around here...mine's automatic so I lose a little performance.

14.665 sec. / 152 km/h best time @ 402m. still quite good for a 2.000 kg automatic Avant.

Can you tell us how much can we get out of the 2.7T in terms of power. How many hp did you gain with your MTM mods, and what were they, if you don´t mind my asking?

Have you got any magazine with the 2.7T tested, stock or tuned? Thanks in advance.

Here's the direct link to SKN RS6 tuning, in German:
http://www.skn-tuning.de/infoblatt/infoblatt-rs6.jpg

The brakes are a lot less expensvie than Sportec.

Note the 4 pipe stainless steel exhaust.

Also note that German-speaking tuners have no idea what so ever that there is an english speaking world out there... :error:

I agree Erik,if you don't speak german in this world you are dead:vvangry: :vvangry:

Mine is an A6 2.7TQ 2002 with MTM stage 1. The tiptronic doesn't like to handle more stages...

DBR is claiming 312 hk / 525 Nm but with tiptronic only 420 Nm.
With manual you can go well above that, but it gets quite expensive.

I went to MTM this summer on their rolling road and it was tested to 310.7 / 445 Nm so MTM brang it back to 420 Nm for safety.

DBR claims a little more than MTM themselves which is because we only use 95/98 oct. petrol.

Will tell you more some other day. Have pics and rolling road graph etc. but no time to write...

I saw this one in Geneva. Looked really unspectacular. Even more than a stock RS6. I'm not sure if they can be 'trusted' as much as Abt for example, especially when it comes to warranty and the like.

The latest Sport Auto has an article about the RS4 tuning of Digit Power. Haven't read it yet though.

I always wonder if MTM is proven to be be the best Audi-chipper? It certainly seems like they have the best reputation, is this right? Of course, it's a subjective point of view as of what should be included in a "test".

Any opinions?

What Audi-modifiers are there (If we mention the big ones..) ? MTM, Sportech, Abt, Digit-power, Dahlbäck Racing and...?
