One thing I wish all manufacturers would do when entering in competition with a production based model is to design a racing wheel which looks identical to the road version.

From what I read, Champion would have entered this car, but all of the resources are on the R10 program.

This car was at Mosport also, seeing it is one thing, hearing it is another thing. Straight pipe, ~500hp. Engine internals are stock, again, from what I've read.

I guess you are confusing between the Superstar championship in Italy (M5, RS4 and Jag) where the cars are almost standard with the GT series organised by FIA.

The GT2 would have to be a lot more aggressive and performing. The standard for the class is full carbon body, full tuned engine (restricted air input), racing on slicks with carbon brakes, sequential box and so on... virtually a racecar that looks like an RS4...

Consider the F430 in challenge version, and the same car prepared for the Mans competition... 2 vary different machines...

This was gonna be used in competition, but the program was scrapped. Champion now brings it to all the ALMS races for the driver "Vitesse" program. This car actually has carbon body panels and a sick interior.
