Sure it is probably possible to make 580 hp out of 3 liters, but that would be a very short living engine. You could probalby do the same with the A6 2.0 TFSI.

i think you should take a ride to a doctor. How in the world can you compare a 535 Xi to the new RS6. The BMW can be smoked by a 1993 RS2 let alone a new RS6. The 535 is a comparison for a A6 4.2 or even a A6 3.2. The new RS6 is an all around better car than an M5. Also the price range is totally different. RS6 probably around 100k compared to a 45k BMW.

Come on please,
Comparing a RS6 with 535xi and saying I decided against the RS6. The two are so far apart on price that you were only fooling yourself that the RS6 was ever being considered.
