The wheels look like 21", to big IMHO don't like it.

I hear Audi are offering a 20" alloy option for the A5/S5 though I haven't seen what they look but no doubt being from Audi they will look the business.

Now that you mention it....they do look a bit too big and the side wall on the tire makes me think is a bit too delicate for some streets. Easy to solve though, 18 hinch, same model.

Cheers Hans

WOW !!!
The contributions you guys make to this forum never cease to amaze me.
I’ve had an awful week & these photos just made my day. Those MTM wheels would make any car look hot.
Thanks guys.

Leadie, I am certain you can buy the badge alone .There are allot of kids with A3’s & VW Golf's in my area with MTM badges & their cars are bone stock.

Guys,I drove the S5 on Sunday.
For those of you living in Sydney, there is a demo S5 at the Rosebery dealership.
The car is very aggressive in real life, tastefully aggressive. I was surprised by how wide it is.
The demo had very few km’s on it so I didn’t ring it’s neck, even though the engine note was begging for a flogging. The engine sound is amazing.
The Interior is far more comfortable & luxurious then the E46 M3.
There is a round about right in front of the dealership so I got to taste the 4wd straight away. Very strange feeling-but in a good way.
My only real complaint was the gearbox. Not what i would expect from a car costing as much as this does. Apparently there will be an auto available next year.
If you hand over your money today you will get your car next March, be quick, there are only 3 cars in that allotment that aren’t spoken for.
I asked the salesman about an RS5 & he said that it’s 2 years away.

Really confused. What exactly is wrong with the manual gearbox in the S5? I think its superb. Easy to use, easy to find the correct gear, not heavy.

So whats wrong with it?

Engine note is good, but needs to be louder. Wonder if there is a fuse you can remove to make it much louder like you can on the Aston AMV8.

No one knows anything about the RS version of the A5. Salesman will always tell you 2 years but that is not accurate at all. There are plenty of new S and RS models that will come out before the RS5. My guess is that unles Audi up production and can build the RS5 somewhere else, it will be at least 3/4 years before we see an RS5, if indeed we do soo one at all.

Manual gearbox is a no-goer comparing to nowadays DSG-transmission or Sport-Auto ones.
Only this thing stopped me from buying S5.
Sometimes it's ok to drive on a manual, but sometimes you would like to have some comfort with auto tranny.
Of course, if you have the second car for your business-life - it's ok. S5 can suit very well as an weekend car in that way.

Can anyone answer my above post. What do these upgrades actually do for the car and what are the costs involved ?

Thanks

I don't have the costs of the upgrades at the moment. The S5 K500 is being built at the moment in MTM Workshop...

As for Paris, let me know when you are coming.

Frederic

Interesting to hear your opinions, I totally agree with the appearance which is way more aggressive than a 335i Coupe I might add I personally like. As for the exhaust note I found the sound from inside to car to sound like a muted big AMG v8 which isn't a bad sound at all. :love2:

The gearbox is different to a BMW, can't be rushed in the same way but once you are use to it you will find it's actually pretty good and precise and I found the clutch a little long compared to my S4 but it's nothing that wouldn't improve again with use.

Interior wise there is no car without an Audi badge that produces such quality and style, period.

With regards to the handling and grip, please pass your findings on to RussianM3_dude as he clearly needs help. :hihi:
