Magneride is the best, I would be glad to see it on other models (S5, S4 B8, RS5 and so on)

Interesting and all very valid options I might add.

I will reveal what the system will be in a bit latter on but not until the voting and debate has reached the level of interest it deserves.

Keep voting and giving your reasons. :thumb:

Magnetic Ride is the most obvious choice.
This is 21st century technology.

Leadfoot, please give us your thoughts on supspension matter of RS6.

IMHO,
Magentic Ride suits the best as I astated above.
Air suspension is not too quick in reactions to suit.
DRC is a little bit unreliable.
Normal Dampers / Springs are too simple to suit for an expensive luxury sportcar.

Could my logic be correct?

Sure but I won't be giving anything away, just so you know that. :D

MagneticRide in my opinion offers the best contact between tyre and road and combines good flat cornering, but some reports have said it's unnatural compared to normal springs and in sport mode it's too firm to be considered for road use.

Air suspension can offer greater ride comfort than all of the others but if the RS6 is to be using this than it's a totally different set-up than either the A8 or Q7, but the surprise is how well it performs in the S8 the best in it's class.

DRC, like you have already pointed out it has had reliability problems in the past but in the RS4 all of these seem to have been fixed and besides in the RS4 it has given Audi their first out-right victories against not only the E46 but also the E92 M3.

Finally normal suspension, most professionals prefer this as it gives the most natural feel and when tuned correctly the results are amazing, examples being the CSL, 997, Boxster etc, etc. But to achieve such results normally affect the ride quality and the RS6 is still a luxury rocket ship so unless Audi have been able to balance the chassis's weight F & R it most be the least favoured choice.

Hope this helps. ;)

Leadfoot, from your words I understood it would be DRC!
Right?

It seems that so far there is two clear favourites.

I thought so too. I thought he was basically explaining why it WILL be chosen over a Magnetic Ride Suspension

Maybe it will be DRC as standard and MagneticRide as an option? :mech:

P.S. why did you write susUpension everywhere in the poll? :D

It interesting to see than a lot of you believe it will be DRC but the voting has clearly the Magneticride suspension set-up as the one most expect to be fitted.

I help with your decision, the system in the RS6 is fully adjustable. ;)
