The Sultan or should i say Brunei's public has one amazing car collection.

Last year he bought multiple Rolls Royce Phantoms with diamond encrusted dashboards for £3mln each. Think he ordered seven of them if my memory's correct!

He also has claim to the only right hand drive CLK GTR, he also has several W198 SL Mercedes Benzes (The famous Gullwing of the 50's) that have the underpinnings of the R129 MB SL600 - these were commissioned by the Sultan for HWA motorsports to undertake the work, the team that run the CLK DTM cars etc for MB.

And it doesn't stop there. He also has claim to the only 993 Turbo Cabriolets of only 6 were made, all for the Sultan. Ones up for sale at the moment.

The yellow cars with red interior is not to everyones taste.

funny you should post this erik, i am currently in the hunt for a pantera GTS to restore now that the triumph is up and running like new, and that i have a bit of spare money on my hands. In my opinion the pantera was one of the best GTs of its generation with that fabulous american V8!!... ;)
