A red R8

First time I see a pic of the R8 in a solid red colour. Hope its not a repost.

The R8 looks better in brilliant red (which I assume is the name) than I had expected.

The R8 is very similar to a 911 in this. Like the Porsche, it only looks good in metallic colours that don't include Red, Blue or Green.

And why when you have spent the best part of £90K (UK money) would you skimp on the bigger alloy rims. Plus no contrasting colour on the sideblades, why. This might have made all the difference. :eye:

It's the wheel's that KILL this. Otherwise it wouldn't look bad. The addition of a CF side blade would have been advisable however...

Those arent stock wheels, there the 19" optional ones.
The first picture above shows the R8 with stock wheels, which are 18"s.
Most (around 90%) R8 buyers here in the UK have specified the 19" wheels. Although the R8 retails at £76k in the UK the average cost of one is in the £90k's !!!

I don't really mind it, but it's not my first choice. If I was going to opt for a red, it would be Misano with the carbon blade. OMFG that would be hot. My RS6 gets so many compliments, because it's a different shade of red. :heart:

Didn't want black sideblades. Anyway the price for CF is ridiculous. Liked the standard jet blue/ice silver combo, but wanted a stronger blue.

Nice R8, but i still prefer it in Phantom Black/Carbon.

My RS4 is Sprint blue and the colour looks great, however I have seen S3's in the same colour and i think it is awful. I think some of it might be to do with the trim not being brushed like the RS4.

Looking at the picture of the R8 ... I am just not sure it works ...
