Will the B8 S4 get the S-tronic (DSG) gearbox?

Unlikely, the North-South layout 7 speed DSG appears to be quite some time away from production. People expected the S5 to have it, the S4 comes out less than a year later.

I would say will S4 appear in Sept event or not? I really dont care Manual, DSG or R-tronic will be there. I like them pretty much all!

A4 and S4 will be launched at the same time like A5 and S5 did this spring and also the future models the same...so this autuumn we will se new A4 B8 and S4 B8 and of course new RS6 C6...prepare yourselfs...

Originally the UK mags stated that the S-Tronic gearbox will be launched with the introduction of the Q5, as it's launch is looking like early '09 then I would expect the gearbox to be ready by then.

Porsche are to launch their own version of the gearbox starting early '08 so I would expect Audi's version to be not that far behind.

I really want the S-Tronic and I need a new car in the Spring of 08. Maybe Audi will surprise us.
