PICS: RS6 glowing brake discs

[LU-RS6]

This weekend we went to do the famous hillclimbs and descents in the French Vosges department.

I must say, I got to know the car even better and am truly amazed what it is up to. For a big heavy autobahn-rocket, it is crazy how well it is handling and gripping on curvy mountainroads.


One thing though: the brakes suffer :incar:
Had new pagids installed before the trip -> burnt to crisp

The discs were already fairly used and are now absolutely due for replacement.

Absolutely amazing what that car is capable of in the hills :bow:
wet and bumpy hills with lots of turns... it took it like a true sportscar :MTM:

I'm starting to think any disc would warp on the RS6 after some very sporty driving or after a few stops from +200 km/h to <100km/h.

I was due to replace the discs anyway. Tomorrow evening I will be @ the Ring, good feeling that I can use them real hard without having to feel bad :hihi:

I never found the limit of the MTM Brakes Kit 380mm even on the RS6 Clubsport on race track. Tires were loosing it before the brakes...
