The rumour is that MTM plans a 5.2 V10 Kompressor engine based on the K450/K500/K550 technology.
The power out put can be between 560 and 680 hp.

Very interesting! And do you know what model is under the project? S6 or S8? If S6 it could be good alternative to upcoming RS6

I can only imagine what this will cost seeing as the RS4 supercharger is 47k euros.

Only the intake manifold will be different, therefore i rekon it will cost almost the same.

The price is still ridiculous for just a bolt on supercharger.

It is not just a bolt on supercharger, it's a intake manifold integrated supercharger.
If it was a just bold on supercharger it would not cost that much.

You are more than welcome to offer the same kit for much cheaper price. Market is open to everybody !

That sounds very cool, will keep my eyes open for more info. An S8 with that power would be awesome! :revs:

MrBucket, do you know anyone else who offers a supercharger for the B7 RS4? I don't so...

VF-Engineering have one in development since July 2005 for the 4.2 V8 FSI engine.

Just because I personally can't make a supercharger or that no one else makes one, doesnt mean it should cost as much as the car to make one.

I dont know about any of you but if the MTM Supercharger kit for the 4.2 or 5.2 was like $5500 they would thousands of kit instead of 2. Credit to MTM but i rather have 2 RS4's for that price.

Mr Balsen

May be they will thousands of kits. May be Audi will sell thousands of RS4 V8 if it was 5000 US dollars. Or may be not...

The previous MTM Kompressor Kit for S8 V8 4.2 was in the same price range...

Both of those also look really heavy.

why is it so expensive?? is it really that difficult and time consuming to develop a combined intake and supercharger that the price have to be that steep?, or is the price set because it's MTM or VF-E, and therefore it costs what it costs?

Hopefully it would include other upgrades also.

Any serious power increases should really be accompanied by brake and chassis upgrades.

Nope, the price i quoted was just for the supercharger kit. Im not sure if it even includes their upgraded clutch and flywheel kit. Plus you will need a new hood for it and im sure they want you to get their exhaust for it as well. Easily another 15k euro there.
