it isn't terribly faster than the 335i. in the handling it'll terrify it, though. then again, a properly driven altima 3.5 can hang with an S4 if driven well. these days the lines are blurring because most modern cars are so good.

the only line that never blurs is one- curb appeal.

Are you kidding?? You can't even see the R8 at times. Credit to the 335i as it is a great car but its like comparing apples and oranges. Two totally different class cars that are great in their respective class.

1). they are on a public road (so sometimes you must brake) this explains why sometimes the 335i catches up the R8
2). the R8 goes 301 km/h top speed ... the 335i 260(as you can see in the clip)

So the R8 f***s the 335i anytime :)

Actually the BMW goes 250 (limited) but the speedo says 260 which has to be that way. 301 for the R8 would be about 310 on the speedo i think.

i think the battle will be more equal just to demonstrate that the r8 can follow car like e63 amg and m5 who are 70 hp more powerfull

the m5 wouldn't have any chance. If you want an equal battle you must also look at the weight from the cars. I would like to see the Gallardo Superleggera against the R8. Or the 911 against the R8. I Think that would be interesting.

If you want to test the M5 ... wait for the RS6 ;)

I found this vid on youtube. The guy says that the S4 has a MTM kit and it goes up to 280 km/h.

In the vid you can see what means a full acceleration with an R8.

Damn the R8 pulls away like hell. This shows me that the R8 in the BMW vid does not give full throttle due to traffic. The S4 driver must have thought he is parking :lovl:

in top speed yes ... but on a sprint it depends on the driver.

Standard Gallardo would be quicker than an R8, the SE and Superleggra version would eat an R8 alive

My 7 year old 360 is quicker than an R8
How do you know it?Has it v -max 301km/h (real not speedo)?Or is it quicker around Nurburgring?If RS4 had not v-max limiter on 250 km/h in sport auto supertest would be quicker than 360.Because 360 has not limiter and reaches more km/h on the straight of Nurburgring.R8 is quicker in this supertest.So were is quicker the 360?0-160 perhaps?According to sport auto 360 and R8 are the same 10,5 sec.R8 costs about half of an 360.

I would believe you i you had a video to prove it.Until then i do not beleive you and your friend and i accept Sport auto magazine figures.I agree with you that R8 would be quicker but in Greek magazines ΄(and friend΄s) 360 dynoed 320-330 max HP on wheels....So don΄t be sure.See also this:

Why? It could quite easily be staged so that either car would seem the quicker, so why would a video prove to you more than what i have already said?

Your ignoring everything else i have said and seem reliant on this video (that doesn't exsist) to prove something to you. I find that fascinating.

Im sorry if you don't like the fact that in a straight line a 7 year Ferrari 360 is quicker than an R8 - but you might just have to swallow that. The Audi R8 is a fantastic car - the point of my posts are that

i'm 16 and i had better time on M5 on track than lot older rally driver on CLK 55 amg.... maybe older people have more experince but youngsters have better reactions.......
