Lowtech? No no no...this is a Lotec...!!!

Take a look what I found in Germany last week. A german mid-engine which looks very nice. To say the least it doesn't look underpowered...

1,20 bar: 1300 hp

1,20 bar: 1300 NM @ 3400 rpm

Weight: about 1.280 kg

0-100 km/h in 3,8 Sec.
0-200 km/h in 7,8 Sec.

Wheels
9,5 x 18" 255/45 ZR 18" front

My first thought was...
"Strangly slow car. 1000hp and 0-100km/h in 3,8 sec...that's not to good"
Then i read the next line... :D
0-200km/h in 7,8 sec!
That's like, 100-200km/h in 4,0 sec!!
MALAKA! :D

Lotec doesnīt exist anymore, and this was only car made at time. They build it to race in 24 Le mans race, but for some finacial reason was not possible. Nowadays they have a new name, itīs called TTP, Turbo Technic Pietz. My Porsche 3.4L Boxster was bought to them, and Mr Pietz /the owner) is a very knowledge guy. They are working mostly on Porsche cars now, but they have also lots of tuning kits for Mercedes and BMW. Mr Lotec was a race driver that, but than he retired from the Lotec companie and they changed the name to TTP.

When was the Lotec car produced then?
The Koenigsegg project was born in 1994 by the way.

After done some research...

The car on the pictures is a Lotec Sirius Concept car from 2001. The prototype took 3 years to produce and no road-cars have been produced or sold.

Lotec have produced a couple of very (very) small series of car in the past. Such (as I know) the Colani Testa D'Oro and the C1000, both from 1991. The Colani Testa D'Oro was only produced in one unit and the C1000 in two units.

So, know you may say that they've taken ideas from the Koenigsegg CC if you would like since the Koenigsegg project began 4 years before the Sirius project. :)

(my friends call me Teo* the theorist, I seriously don't understand why)
