Yep, blame it on me...
Bad start, 20 more meters in the end please.... this was my first race with my new car on an airfield, should have had more revs on 2nd and 3d gear, changed gear at 7900 rpm, was too excited... :incar:

Watch that video again. Isnīt the guy shouting "NOW" before the startingline? Didnt realise that before but Iīve watched the clip again and it looks like a quite obvious false start...:vgrumpy:

A close call I would say but the RS4 clearly eats in on it at the end (the weight I guess)...
how much power and torque is the AMG producing in the ML spec?
From a standing start I would expect the RS4 to soundly beat it though ...

Yes.You are right.But the bigger false is yours.Because you went there before exercise for optimum gear changes,with less than 10.000 kms for optimum performance and perhaps with more weight (more fuel in tank ).Next year i hope for better results with more air in the tyres,without mats,boot carpet and tyre repair kit ,air condition off,closed air vents,etc......

Yeah, less fuel would help, but don't be a total nob and mis-calculate the amount of fuel needed. It would be unforgivable to be ahead in the early part of the race to then run out of fuel before the end. :doh:

At high speeds it is not the weight, it is the air resistance. Why the RS4 has a big advance.

The ML63 is the quickest accelerating SUV in the world (excluding tuning companies). EVO tested it against the new Cayenne Turbo and it was slightly quicker and if I'm right quicker on the track as well.
It's no shame losing to such a powerful beast. Better luck next time.
