Not to re-start an old debate but can anyone explain to me why M5s also seem to lose when they are away from the M5/6Board.com events. I have watch numerous videos and the same result always happens, the Gallardo wins.

Maybe the ones at the airfield events are a bit less standard than most. ;)

honestly.....M5 and 500 HP Gallardo are a very close race, especially from roll-ons...it can swing one way or another. With 520 on the new ones....it may give the slightest of edge to the Gallardo. Gallardos are not super fast.....they are sure gorgeous though:thumb:

I've been at all these airfield events, they're not staged.
Hell, I even invited the first Gallardo 3 years ago. I still claim that car was faster than the M5. :D
But last year the Gallardo didn't really perform.

But this is to my knowledge the first video of a 520 hp Gallardo.

this is actually a 2004 gallardo fitted with 520hp 2007 engine :)
the m5 belongs to the gallardo driver as well.

I also feel BMWs can perform best on M5board.com videos. I don't have any wrong words on that board but they are quite biased in my opinion.

Are we biased ?
Huh Nice!!!
BTW gallardos are very fast, let's be honest here, 314 KPH is not slow!!!
And no real world car can do 0-100 KPH in 4 sec.
you just got used to it but it is very fast...
Besides AWD vs RWD, on a rolling start ,the RWD has an advantage, AWD are good on shooting off the line.

An M6 will beat a 500ps Gallardo, mainly due to the greater AWD transmission losses of the Gallardo. The 520ps Gallardo is probably nearer 40-50ps up on the 500ps version, stupid as that sounds. The gearing is also tighter on post-2006 Gallardos. In short it's a lot faster.

When it's your own clutch, one tends to avoid it.:hihi:

2007 Gallardo is feater than M5 but the same as M6.
But Gallardo Super Leggera is faster than any stock M5/M6.
