My B7 RS4 is now around 980KM and ytd night i decided to go for a few red light start up
"0-100" but i found out that it isn't that fast at all, i can feel some power pushing u forward at around 6000 rpm onward and before 1000-5000 rpm is just like not much power at all. so is there a computer power lock untill the first service check??

I believe there is (I read it somewhere on the forum) but you do know you must not exceed 6000rpm in the fist 1000kms. I know it's very tempting but if you want the engine to perform and last for a while, I suggest you stick to owner manual instructions, imo. Have fun!

u mean after few thousand KM more, the car will be smoother and the acceleration would be much faster? or its due to the computer problem?

Hi Cally,
I don't think if there is a problem with your car but with mine, it revs nicely to 6000 rpm when I did although I kept it to only very few occasions as I didn't want to stuff up the running in process. I've done nearly 5000kms now and it definitely perform better and better and have my words - the RS4 rewards you! I love giving it the stick and all the way to 8250rpm on the track :revs: ! so far, my car has been trouble-free.
Cheers,

The power gets unleashed gradually. Don't worry you'll have your hands full very soon.

Cheers
