It's a good thing for the resale values, and it means they're prepping for the RS6.

Very possible to be truth..., if I understand this corectly, only limousine variant will stop production, while avant and cabriolet are still on offer...

This is being done to help with resale but more importantly free up capacity at Quattro GmbH for the up and coming RS6. The Avant and Cab will keep going until the new A4/S4 is launched and then in 2010 we will see the new RS4, you have to remember that there is a lot of talk about the RS5 being launched late 2008/early 2009, this will mean we will only have a short 6~8 months gap between the old RS4 in Avant/Cab form and the new 2dr RS5.

Another thing, this is maybe why the S5 has been held back from producing a greater power increase, with the RS4 gone will we see the new S4 kicking out more than the 354hp presently available from the S5 engine. A nice thought.

I think that it is good that they have stopped to make the RS4, it will keep the value up.

They are not takeing out of production in favour of the RS6, a litle bird whiseperd that in my ear. :rs4kiss:

Strange, I called to Audi dealer today and they still taking orders for RS4, they do not know about the end of production, so you may be have the last chance to order it! :0:

Maybe they are reciving orders, but that still doesn't mean that production isn't stoped...b

They are definitely still in production, it may be however that some countries may have ceased taking orders.

Dealer (UK) confirmed today that they are taking no more orders for the saloon in the UK. Not sure when production stops - build week for mine is 28 and still confirmed:rs4addict

The RS4 will be avaliable to mid 2008, the Avant and the Cab will be produced longer than the sedan.

It is likely that only the right hand drive version of the sedan that Audi is no longer producing.

I think if you check, the UK has been one of Audi's strongest markets for not only the TT but also RS models, we love them over here. To stop producing only RHD models sound silly to me, why stop such a great market for them.
