With that amount of Hp in the S1 then why only 220 KPH?

Because the S1 was made for Rally ... and i think when you drive a rally 220 km/h is enough...the acceleration is more important...

As Zerocool wrote. Acceleration is more important in rally. The S1 had a gearing for a topspeed around 220 km/h. But then the acceleration is out of it's mind, if I remember right they did 0-100 km/h in 2.5 sec or so on the gravel roads. Insane! :revs:

From memory, this S1 is 550-600 hp.

But this race is meaningless because the buggy is so much lighter than the S1 that it is a big disadvantage on track. I would love to see the same comparison on a rallye stage like the Turini. Result might be slightly different....

Give this S1 - Walter Röhrl to drive...and i think this race would be on Audi's side... :D
