The reliability is the last part under final verification. MTM has redesign some parts to be even stronger.

That would be very embarrising for the M5 owner. It a stock RS4 can tie with the M5 till 100mph i dont want to know what the supercharged RS4 does to it. Think about it also MTM Supercharger and exhaust will probally cost you 25,000 that will still put you in M5 territory. Think about it that way and its not a bad deal.:rs4addict

Very nice, but the cheesy carbon hood scoop needs to go. With all the time and money put into the project it needs a one-piece tastefully done hood. Something along the lines of the new M3 power-dome hood.

It's most likely that the engine broke during tests, that's part of developing a high power engine.
There are always part's that can't handle the pressure, you make some part stronger from the start or during development and other weak parts will show up during testing.
It's the name of the came, and if every thing go's well you end up with a bullit proof high performance engine. :jlol:

Untrue to my knowledge.
The last broken engine on MTM Car to my knowledge is the rear engine of the TT BImoto at Nardo. It brokes because the air stop coming to the rear intercooler raisong the temperature of the air going to the engine to over 130 degree celsius...
Roland Mayer at the steering wheel was able to keep the car on trak despite a speed of 374 km/h when the engine blew up...

The cost of the supercharger is outrageous, mtm is making the customer pay for thier messup and redesign of the kit. Price is 49k euro with a 5k euro installation.

I have heard that the engine has failed and this has caused the kit release to be held back.

I can believe that the engine would fail in stock form as in NA they are running 25m/s piston speed to give you an idea F1 run ~27m/s, they are a strong engine but with the extra load on the rotating assembly (pistons, rods, crank and bearings) from the pressurised air can cause these failures at high rpm.

Once fully sorted though well the performance on the video shows what is possible.

Just my 2 cents.
