Hi!

I need to take out and send to MTM my ECU as it started to malfunction.
Does anybody have pictures guide how to do it myslef or at least show me a pic where it is exactly?

I would prefer not to go to my service shop with that as it is very far.

thx

stright forward. ecu is on the lhs plenium. unscrew the top of the plastice case, and the ecu and a bunch of other stuff is underneath. there is a locking bracket holding the unit in. in some cases you might see a metal case containing the ecu (anti theft). if you have one of these, post again, because they are more difficult to remove...

1,Open the bonnet.
2,Remove the rubber seal that's at the back of the engine bay.
3,Remove the long piece of plastic trim that goes from wing to wing and covers the battery.
4,In front of the driver there is a black box , the lid is held on with 8mm screws.
5,Remove these & the lid will come off.
6,There is a metal clamp that holds the ecu in place , remove this & the ecu will be loose .
7, Now the hard part ....There is a anti tamper screw that has to be removed.
8,Once removed the metal cover can be removed & ecu removed.

The tcu is under the carpet on the drivers side under your feet in a plastic box .

I hope this helps ...

TCU on right side (driver side for RHD, passenger side for LHD/US model). Do a search, someone posted pics of the TCU removal.
