Warning Beep's on startup

Hi

Just noticed a 3 beep warning when i start my car aswell as the handbrake light flashing 3-4 times when i start the car and drop the handbrake

Any ideas?

you are seeing the "p" warning light stay lit after you release the handbrake?

if yes, then the microswitch on the handbrake is probably n/w. if you pull out the rear vents, and disconnect the plastic vent pipe, you will see the microswitch at the base of the handbrake lever. check for connections etc...
