I've always enjoyed looking at pictures of other beasts, and as Mori had the good idea of starting an RS4 gallery I thought maybe we could do the same here.

If you wish to help keep server traffic to a minimum, or if you are not sure how to post a picture, I just wanted to give you the following tip:

They let you on the 'ring without helmets? Wow!

I ran a sub-13 second 1/4 mile time and the track manager went ape sheet and tried to boot me off the track when I didn't have a helmet. I didn't know the rules or that the car was that fast since it was brand new at the time. I pointed out the dealer tag still on the car and he let it slide. I borrowed a helmet from someone there.

In the video, that was my 3rd time running at a 1/4 mile track and against that Camaro dragster I ran a 12.8 sec time. My best yet. My car is stock. The RS6 is a very difficult car to launch.:incar:

At night I went driving with some people around Antwerp port in Belgium, I was able to keep up with a Z3M Coupé up till 4th gear :bigeyes:

I believe they were amazed how that ''old car'' is performing...

You can ''kill'' lots of modern machines with it, and best thing is, as you allready said, that everybody thinks it's some stupid old Avant roling down the road, but than... :revs:

Exactly, that's the best thing about it!

Only thing you have to watch for when you are competing is the turbo-hole, you have to rev it high against 4000 rpm at least.

Lu, Andy BG, yes they are the MTM 19 x 9.5J Diamond cut with anthracite inserts wearing Michelin PS2's in 275x30x19....superb!!!

No, it's not lowered. As long as the stock suspension isn't giving me any troubles I am keeping it as it is.

That was my final shortlist. I drove them both and they are very different, but how do you think they compare? Any insight into comparative performance? A friend of a friend has a CSL but I don't see him enough to have had a run with him yet.

Here is a short clip of my baby after some track action. (the car was perfectly fine after letting it cool down a bit). The car is a 2003 RS6 Avant MTM. The video shows the result after 3 laps. out-lap, fast-lap + in-lap to pits. The brakes are standard RS6 issue I think, I didnt do the mods on the car.

The track is the Jerez GP Circuit in Spain.

There were 2 E60 M5s on track too, both pushing, but they couldn’t keep up with the RS6, 1s and 2s behind in timing (Timing was using official timing kits from the circuit so no trickery there…). OK, as much as I like to relish the outcome of the day, I have to admit the results are probably due to driver skills. None of us were professionals, but have some track experience. One of the M5s ended up spinning off while trying to catch up ;)

It's the price you have to pay for tracking a family station wagon :hihi:

When I come off the Nordschleife I take the car for another 20km cooling drive on the Landstrasse, no way I'd be parking it just like that :MTM:

yeah, i agree on the cooldown. obviously the 4km cooldown on the in-lap was not enough. the second time i went out, i did 2 cooldown laps and didnt have the same problem anymore.

by the way, a beautiful avant you have there LU!!! those rims work real well....*drool*

Ahh, the interior is the visual difference between our cars (apart from your wheels). I'll take some and post them once I have fitted the bluetooth mic properly.

Here are a couple of shots of my toy.

Specs: RS6 plus 521/999, Sprint blue w cognac interior. The color combo works fine in real world, but it is really difficult to get the nice cognac "red" hue of the leather into pics. I have thought of having the mirrors and interior alu trim painted with same titanium color as the wheels, but wanted to keep it stock for now.

Interestingly (?), I recently played with a VIN decoder. It would seem only 565 RS6 plus' were ever produced, not 999. There can't be found any data with VIN ...564-997. So it seems numbers 001-563 and 998-999 were produced. Which makes my car the 44th from the last RS6 :)

Thanks :) The side badges are left behind from the former stickers. The car was first used by an alpine slalom world champion, and it had big Audi stickers. I don't think RS6 plus has any additional badges on the outside. I've thought of taking them away, but since they are a part of this individual car's history, they've stayed.

So anyways, here's my RS6, which as you may have guessed I just traded for an Infiniti G35 6MT and a GMC Typhoon. It really is the perfect combination of both of these vehicles (and then some). I'll try to get some good pics this weekend, and post them.

OK, it's been ages since you asked so here are a couple of (literally) quick and dirty ones.

Also I finally got round to replacing the orange bulbs in the indicators as even with Euro "clear corners" I still hated the orange reflection. The last pic is with silver bulbs that flash orange fitted.

Most if not all RS6's in the U.S. came with the Fishtail antenna. The antenna is used on Cars for the Onstar assistance, also if you had XM or Sirius radio, as well as the Nav system. I plan to upgraded my Nav system to the RNS-E someday and it sounds like you can still tap into the Fishtail antenna to use with the newer Nav systems which all fit the Symphony II radio slots. Just a little wiring to do as they are partially plug and play as many of you know. MGH

I need such a fishtail antenna too....sounds ridicilous but I broke mine by driving too fast continuously :brag:

It starting slamming against the roof, on the small spoiler to be precise, and did some damage too :doh:
Luckily about 75% could be polished away

Thanks but nothing special really. This is my third set of aftermarket tails believe it or not. The LED's are by far my favorite. I couldn't even tell you who makes them. I did a random search on Ebay and lucked out. Changes the look of the rear 100% and lots of compliments. I'll post back if I can find who makes them again.
