Plastic cover for the engine looks cheap imo. Any word on the price of the mod?

That looks like 100% HGP-turbo only with a cover over it.
I think only the engine software is MTM.

It would be a new/tweaked kit though, HGP level 1 is 405HP.

I think Exhaust and software makes the difference.
But every thing else is HGP-Turbo.

Yes, i don't understand why it's not made out of carbon fibre :vhmmm: it would look so much better.
Another problem with it is that you have to remove it if the engine need a oil fill.

As someone who hasn't tuned a car in over 20years, what's the difference between the two brands, which is the better choice?

You will favour MTM which is understandable, but is HGP a mickey mouse tuning out-fit or are they well known.

MTM is a brand which has been in business over 20 years and provide kit for VW Group (VW, Audi, Seat, Bentley, Porsche). HGP is a company who is well known for providing turbo kit for the V6 used in the R32, A3, TT. while I was in nardo with MTM, the famous red HGP Golf R32 was also there: 554hp and 324 km/h. But they were also looking at the sky and praying the cylinderhead was going to survive...
But it was very very impressive.

Now MTM has its own solution to put a turbo on the V6 3,2 of the new TT.

450hp should be available very soon.....

So Frederic, if I understand you right MTM not only tune the engines but also tune the entire car where as HGP mainly tune the engine and then sale the other equipment which are made by Bremo, Sachs etc. Or have I got it wrong once again.

MTM developped their own kits. When needed, they are using parts from famous brands like Brembo or KKK. MTM has also technical partnership with KW, Laminova, Kleeman, etc
