Might just be so... I'd love to see a new NSX. Adore the "old" one, the sound is just amazing! :revs:

Agree with bober, NSX is a mid-engine car, this one has the engine in front, updated S2000 I think

I'm not so sure that the next one will indeed be mid-engined, with what Ferrari and the likes have achieved with the 599 it would be more practical for Honda to go down the route of have a front mid-engined car. This would appeal to a much large audience, something that the last model had trouble doing.

Hopefully this side-on photo will show this is indeed the Honda NSX and it looks that like the last model this one will also be rear mid-engined.

Guys looked at the photo again, the roof has been extended, this clearly shows space being made behind the two seats. Why would this be if not to allow room for the engine.

If you were to say the new S2000 was to be mid-engined then I might agree with you but somehow I doubt this is the case.

Thats an s2000,It looks nothing like a nsx...The lights alone are 100% s2000

Skratch,

I expected more from you, cast your mind back to another test-mule, the Porsche Panamera which didn't look much like the current sketches. Was it not wearing a BMW M5 body over the Porsche chassis.

Now did that not sound more silly to believe it was indeed the Porsche but this a Honda car can't be another Honda.:brag:

Its an s2000 leady,Look at all the qs it has.The side, back and front fenders all resemble an S2000

the front is way to long to not have an engine up there and there is def no space in the rear for a mid engine.

I am 100% positve that this is an s2000 test mule.

It dosnt take much to notice it but cmon did you serioulsy think this was an NSX?

My good friend has a s2000 and my uncle has an NSX this car dosnt resemble anything from an NSX.It has s2000 writen all over it my friend.

skratch,

Now check again with the test mule and you will see an extra 10~12" of extra space between the back of the door and the wheel arch. Unless they are making a 2+2 S2000 I can't see why they would be doing it?

Also the hard-top roof has been extended by the same amount, again why do it unless it's to allow room for an engine for like I say two extra seats. Surely the option of extra seats is less believable than this being a new NSX test mule. Who is to say the new one will have the same measurements as the last one.

Does anyone still think that this is just a S2000. If so then this must be the first one to feature quad pipes.;)

thats a s2000 test mule leady,I will bet my M3 on it lol

The japs are into the quad pipes right now...Take a look at there lexus fx or what ever there calling it 450 ect.Its a direct compititor to the M3 and will have quad pipes just like that.

there is no relevance to a NSX in those test pics.It shares nothing from an NSX IT IS NOT AN NSX thise is getting a little old now.

That photo has appeared on every car site on the web & everyone seems to think that it is the new front mounted NSX.
The old 1 was a very capable car,it's a shame that Honda never developed it any further.Rumours of a mid mounted V8 never materialized.
I once drove a friends Apexi Turbo NSX in California, what a blast !

Sorry to drag this up again but the body of evidence for it is very compelling.

The car does look a like like an S2000. However, being a mule or not for the NSX, I don't know, as there was a magazine recently that mention that if a new NSX was to come out, it would have front mounted engine, and not rear as in the past. You never know these days.
