RS4 Vs M5(stock E60)

I know this is an ongoing debate :argue: and doesn't really matter to me anyway cos I absolutely love my :rs4kiss: and wouldn't consider buying an M5 anyway(to plain),but has anyone had a serious race against an M5 if so what was the outcome? I ask because I had a bit of fun with one yesterday and although I didn't push or challenge him to much(area well patrolled by police),I did sense that he could have blown me away at any time,or am I showing the BM a little to much respect? I have seen quite a few video's but none with stock RS4's Vs stock M5's What do you guy's think?:vhmmm:

Not to restart an old argument but of course the two will be very evenly match on a public road and especially so in a standing start race, just look at the 0-100mph times of both, they are within a few tenths of a second of each other. The problem for the RS4 will be after the 100mph mark, this is where the extra grunt of that v10 will really show and sad to say walk away into the distance.

But then again this is a straight line race where the M5 will ultimately win, but throw in a few corners and the out come should be very different.

M5 is very quick, it deserves a lot of respect.

On a 1/4 mile race I give more chances to RS4 after that we should call Big Brother new Rs6 to face V10 this engine makes 330 km/h not to be underestimated!

"Light to Light" racing the RS4 is probably faster because 0-60 the RS4 is 4.2 Seconds and the M5 is about 4.5 Seconds. After 110MPH the M5 will start to walk away.

RS4 $67,000 + MTM Supercharger, Milltek Exhaust, Milltek DP's and Intake = $90,000
Stock E60 M5= $96,000

RS4= 620HP
M5= 507HP
