points of note:
a) 450bhp fsi 4.2v8 with tt (bring back memories anyone?)
b) more torque than our v8tt ("over 500 lb ft')
c) possible torque vectoring debut (slated for the a5 sportback)
d) standard carbon ceramic brakes
e) debut in "early 2008" - so an option for those waiting for an rs6...

looks stunning!

No !

RS 5 is derivate of A5.

RS 4, from A4.

RS 4 B7 is going out of production at the end of the year or in the begining of next, becouse new A4 B8 is coming out.

two turbos to gain 30hp ! ! !
I don't believe so as you can do it already with a better exhaust including sport cat. ...

The same situation we have in the case of BMW 335i.
It has 306 hp when 3.0L NA has 272 hp. The main aim - is to provide huge torque from the lowest RPMs and it can be achieved only with moderate turbo pressure. That's why the increase in HP is not that great.

Hold on a minute artur777,

The official figures for the 335i from BMW is 306hp and 400Nm but it has been dyno-ed on more than one occasion to show a true figure closer to 350~360hp and 470Nm.

Just because BMW says there is only a 34hp difference doesn't mean it's so.;)

RS5 is a good idea but with a slightly modified RS4 engine it could be a bit boring.:boring: Like the new S5/S4(?) with getting nearly the same engine as the previous (B6,B7) generation had. If you see back a little bit to the past, Audi wouldn't do that a few years ago-just think: B4-R5 engine, B5-V6, B6-V8. A V8 TT or even a V10 could be the logical way here. And please don't say that a V10 is too much for that if a 6.2L engine won't have too much for Mercedes C!:vgrumpy:
