Sorry guys but Cliov16 beat you to it.

As I said when I heard it for the first time, very spooky how it sounds so like that of the RS4. Did they say to themselves 'Make it go, handle and sound like a RS4'. Well you know what they say, to copy something is the highest form of praise there is. :hihi:

Agree with you ...I thought BMW would try to go with a more crispy racing sound like a Ferrari V8! This sounds just like a highrev version of their E39 M5 V8 :vgrumpy: ...but that engine really sounds great also ..soo it's magnific according to me :0:

Still ...it looks like a Honda in a party mood :hihi:

Yeah, the BMW inline six is a great sounding engine. But alas it's only natural to find something that's more and bigger is better.

The six cylinder engine sounds better than the four, the eight is better than the six and so on and so on, reaching the pike which is the V12. I like the sound of the new M3 and IMHO it's better than the old one but in the same way I think the exhaust note of the RS4 is that little deeper and better than the slightly higher pitched M3. Each to their own I say.

buyalemon,

You aren't kidding mate, I'm still pinching myself that I was first to post the 550 vs M6 video. With almost 5000 pairs of eyes (number of members on RS6.com) searching the internet for anything interesting to post it's a wonder there is anything we haven't seen.

Think on poor old LamboM posting the video of the RS4 vs old M5, heck that was posted here months ago, someone should tell.

I agree ... almost all relevant videos are up here.

However, I have not seen this one being discussed yet ...

In my opinion, it is one of the best conceptualizations of the difference between AWD and RWD, and the guy is supposed to be objective too since he is Japanese :). Oh and of course the S4 v8 should have been a manual I feel.

Let me know what you think ...

oh and if this is a double post, feel free to delete this entry :deal:
