It is the maglev in Shanghai, only place on earth where "Transrapid" has come into commercial exploitation.
I think what the TGV did is more impressive because it is on wheels, the maglev uses magnetic levitation.

err... Cars :vhmmm: - I hope you are not referring to the Veyron :D
The less said about Planes (and their German/French wiring) the better- apart from the fact they wouldn't get very far without wings and engines (*cough* British *cough*);)

:jlol:

Have a good Easter.

I actually do refer to the Veyron. Brand is french. It is built in France by french people ! ! ! ! Not to mention Renault, Wolrd champion in F1, Citroen world champion in rallye and Peugeot in Le Mans 2007 ! ! !

And for the plane, we have the Dassault Mirage and the Dassault Rafale ! ! !

Fredric,

Renault - Yeah Current F1 Champions but without the driver that made it possible.:hihi: Don't think they will be next year, do you? :eye:

Citroen - Agreed but it's just a shame their road cars weren't a little bit more reliable and better built.:hihi:

Peugeot - Le Mans winner in 2007, and people class me as presuming to much when I say the RS4 will be better than the next M3.

:harass:The only reason why the French are so good at making trains is because they are bloody awful at building road cars.

Sorry mate, you did ask for something like that.:thumb:

Frederic,
We are not ganging up on you - honest.....:looking: But...

Renault F1 team is not really a French outfit (the money comes from France) They are based in the UK at Enstone in Oxfordshire. They wouldn't be as good as they 'were' without the engineering talent of Pat Symonds or Bob Bell (the Tech. Director) to name a few and lets not forget the driving of the now departed Alonso.:argue: ;)

I'm going to agree with you on the Citroen rally team (not forgetting the amazing Loeb - not bad for a gymnast). :0:
Bit of a shame they're rally success is not doing anything for their road cars though. Not exactly following Audis lead with that one.

I am looking forward to Le-Mans though. (a race you should be proud of) :thumb:
I actually hope that at least one of the Pugs stays reliable enough to give the Audis a bit of a fright. Should be a very interesting race in numerous classes - GT2 in particular if this is anything to go by (Sebring 12hrs) :

I do admire the Rafale, mainly because it is a competitive combat aircraft that is built and funded by the French. (same admiration for Swedens Grippen).
That would never happen in the UK. Its almost laughable that the Eurofighter is costing all 4 partner countries more than they ever imagined. (and its too late coming into service - we would rather sell them to Saudi than equip our own forces with them)

Vive la France! (sometimes :hihi: )
