As i like to read about these things, I thought you would be interrested as well - here we go:

I had the opportunity to accomany a good friend and to go to the Audi Forum in Neckarsulm, where we picked up his 3.2 TT DSG.

First some impressions from the Audi Forum Neckarsulm. As I have been to Ingolstadt twise - I did compare both locations.

Ingostadt

the HQ of Audi where very often interresting cars of the board members can be seen (you might remember e.g. TT in Gulf colours and some other goodies)
the museum mobile & museum shop - always worth a visit, changing exhibitions ( currently about Audi's Le Mans winning cars http://www.fourtitude.com/news/publish/Audi_News/article_2956.shtml)
Factory tour - you can see the production of the A3 and A4 there (in near future A5)
Audi Forum itself - you have the very first Audi Forum there too, where you can pickup your Audi. Compared to Neckarsulm it is small and crowded
Audi exclusice exhibition and some quattro GmbH tuned Audis - smaller and less, compared to Neckarsulm

Neckarsulm

Factory tour - in Neckarsulm there are two different guided production tours: one throught the A6 (S6 & allroad) production, the other through the A8 production line (we choose the A6 production)
quattro GmbH is located there - we passed by the building and our tour guide pointed us to the nice parking lot in front (numerous R8, RS4, Lambo Gallardo) and his comment about a BMW M5 between all these performance Audis: "oh the cleaning crew arrived already as well"
Audi Forum itself - i liked the Audi Forum in Neckarsulm very much. It is of course much bigger than the one in Ingolstadt - therefore they have much more space for e.g the quattro exclusive cars, the display of the general lineup. It is more "open", less crowded in my opinion. I find it very appealing.

At the end - both locations are worth visiting :thumb:

Unfortunately the quality of the pics is not the best, the light situation was not easy and i guess I'm not one of the best photographers. ;)

Audi Forum Neckarsulm general:

Nuvolari - i still like it a lot, but seeing it in nature - it is a big car, the A5 is significantly smaller.

Now to the Audi TT 3.2 S-tronic.

I had the opportunity to drive it for ~200 Km on the german Autobahn as well as on backroads and city.

The S-tronic:
When i first read about the DSG gearbox in the automotive press, I was very impressed with this achievement of the VAg group. All the comments where overwhelming. Than i had the chance to drive a VW with the DSG. I got a VW Touran 1.9 TDI DSG loaner (105 hp), while my car was at the dealer for service. What a disappointment - just another lame automatic gearbox i thought.
Since the drive with the TT - I'm hooked. Apparently you need the "right" (=powerfull) engine to see the full potential of the S-tronic (DSG). I thought that i was a quick shifter, till I saw how fast and smooth the S-tronic does the job. It was a joy to observe the rev needle do the majic - and the paddles on the steering wheel are a joy as well. I often used them in the auto mode to gear down in slow traffic - in order to allow the new engine to run on different revs constantly.

The magnetic ride:
My friend thought very long about this option, testdrove TTs with standard and magnetic ride suspention. After having driven his TT with magnetic ride, we both are conficed it was a got choice to take it. When you press the buttom, you can really feel how the magnetic fluid in the shock absorbers changes its status. In normal mode the car is quite comfortable, without denying being a sportscar. When you press the buttom, you immedialty feel the change - it is more responsive without being just hard.

The engine:
I have not driven the 2.0 TFSI, but this combo 3.2 + quattro + S-tronic in S-mode is a dream. We just reved the engine till 4.000 rpm due to break-in but what a joy this was. In S-mode (S-tronic) the whole car feels sharp, eager to take every chance for a sprint. We even thought that the throttle response is quicker, which is not supposed to be.

Summing it up:
My friend owned 3 TT Mk.1 and he is overwhelmed with the new one. I can only add: :wo:

Now the pics:

Could well be that these rims end up with winter tires (RS4 style 19'' for the summer?)

Suzuka grey is an odd colour on sportback it looks greyish or flat white and on the RS4 in the other thread it looks bright white, but either way it looks great.

Spot on - I have never seeen it in real life before, and read and seen it first in Eric's post of the RS4 sedan a while back ( http://www.rs6.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9094&highlight=suzuka+grey). I remember the discussion that started, that it is white and not grey. Ben did some research then, what this colour is made up of.

Erik stated then I now can confirm it - you have to see it in real life. I've never seen any pictures that do it justice.

And what you observed is the exact point. this colour changes due to the light situation.

And believe me - when you see it, you might call it anything, but white :)

...I haven't been there for a long while, need to go soon!...

A lot of R8 around, unfortunately in the factory area - where taking pictures is forbidden.

It is a mekka for Audi fans for sure.:applause:

If i can convince my wife i might be going to Ingolstadt soon too, as we will be in Tirol for holidays. And besides i have to make sure my daughter and roadrunner jr. are being put on the right automobile track form the start :D
