We went to have some fun in the hills...

We didn't really push it to the edge but it was fast enough :incar:

Oh, and btw in this clip you can see the same footage but from my passenger's cam. As from 01:23 you can see the impreza drift, it had some braking problems because the brakes are stock. Fading all the way..

I was absolutely amazed how much grip it had on those twisty roads! :eek:
especially when you keep in mind that it is a 2 ton Avant (and with 4 men on board!)
And the sheer power is just mindblowing...the brakes had to work hard though :hihi:

That impreza sure has some speed. Not sure what happened near the end of the clip when the BM overtook it. It seemed to slow down then indicate. Nothing in it between all three cars.

He was starting to have braking problems on that spot (stock brakes = too much heat), so he allowed us to overtake.

Is that an "STI" Impreza or the slightly slower "WRX"? Must be the STI to pull speeds like it did in that video. The impreza is good on acceleration but not brilliant on higher speed above 100. What kinds of speeds were you reaching?

It is a 1999 Impreza GTT stars 25 edition. Standard it has 218 horses, as he has a modified intake and exhaust I have no idea what he is reaching now, nor whether he has any other mods done. Will ask him.
In any case you are right, it is damn fast in the slower region. Too bad he hasn't upgraded his brakes yet though :mech:


We reached topspeeds close to 190 km/h in the downhill according to my passenger. Myself I have no idea, I was too busy keeping my eyes on the road :hihi:
