Now that is what would expect from a race between a 997 and a RS4, especially the second one which shows as the speed increases the extra power and torque of the RS4 really tells and pulls out an amazing gap from the Porsche that even at a speedo speed of 300km/h the gap doesn't show that it was decreasing that much.

Great find KK265.:thumb:

:harass: No doubt there was someone to disagree with this, :vhmmm: much in the same way as we disagree with the CSL vs RS4 and the tuned M5 vs RS4.

What a difference in speed! :dig:

It seems that not so many people use the motorway in Croatia, You can just stand still :eye:

In this video i think M5 E 60 had more difficulties with previous but equal modell (320 instead 325 PS for new modell)

The RS4 did launch earlier. And 100HP difference is quite a lot.

Mori,

Agreed it did launch slightly earlier but the way it walked away is some feat.

How very nice a long run :thumb:

Yes it is a pitty the RS4 starts much before. Of course the result would have been pretty much the same but certainly a bit closer.

The dream would have been RS4 vs C2 S...

Again, what do we see. The first film we dont see anything about if some get the start done before the other.

And in the other film, well all we see is thats not the way a 997 Carrera is to be lauched.

Porsches are pretty fast from standstill, they got the right amount of weight on the rear tiers to make the do very fast starts from 0(if the driver manage, which he did not!) This start was not even on the same planet. The carrera was just standing at spot, while RS4 was plenty ahed, then carrera give gas. A 997 Carerra S should be more or less even steven in launch whit RS4, that my opinion and as i experience thing. Sure now this RS4 was faster, but ther are reasons. As well many here say(997 carrera, not S, wrong launch) But the video show a RS4 winning:applause:

These video is nothing to make of, regarding the to cars potential. Still its fun to see.(as i always said, mags and videos is not telling all)
Even the first film whit CSL RS4 on a rolling, well we could see its pretty even in start as i remember, still RS4 should not drive that bad, as we dont know what happen live.

Anyway on a rolling starts its more easy to make 2 cars start at the same time. As well it dont take so much from the regular driver to launch whatever car fast if rolling. Thats why M5 bord do often rolling, due to it clearly shows many cant lauch a rear driven car( exampel this carrera)
