This thread not started for flame wars, just interested in peoples loves and hates of their RS4...

I love my :rs4kiss: , I think its a great drive and could not ask for much more, but as with anything, there are some not so good points also. Here are my loves and hates.

Loves:

- Booming V8
- Explosive engine and exhaust note
- Great bucket seats
- Phenomenal grip
- Great exterior and interior styling
- Its a manual
- Despite the fact that its front heavy and all wheel drive that it handles like a dream
- It wants for no options
- It seats 5

Not so loves (hates seems too strong): :eye:

- The fact that the bottom of the steering wheel is "metal-like" plastic and not real metal
- The fuel cap - where do you put it when filling up?
- The speedo graduations after 100km/h. I am going 111 or 119km/h?

What are yours?

What are yours?

It has two cuts on one side of the closing screw... these fit perfectly with the top of the little dood in the body!

About the "metal-like" plastic of the steering wheel, imagine an heavy accident...

Sure you'd preffer plastic to metal !

These fit perfectly with the top of the little dood in the body? What does that mean? Is there somewhere you can store the petrol cap that I dont know about?

True, but I prefer the all leather look of the TT or the R8.

Well I prefer plastic than full leather personally

Also you can get a second fuel thank replacing the "5th" wheel in the boot....

I don't think I have compains but I would love getting an extra real 50hp :king:

The two cutouts in the cap are designed so you can clip the cap over the top of the open flap while you are filling up. Just rotate it around until they clip over.

Same on the A4 and S4.

Pros:

+ Compromise between handling and daily useability,
+ Engine note with S button pressed - could be louder still, though,
+ Bucket seats - yes, I actually find them comfortable,
+ Looks - somehow special & muscular yet restrained and not too flashy & vulgar,
+ Adaptive lights - just love 'em in the dark,

Cons:

- Concert Radio and Bose - not that good really,
- Lack of low-end shove - 4th gear doing 60km/h and flooring...,
- Lousy carpets - you right foot chews through them all too soon,
- Wear of otherwise lovely suede wheel and gearknob...
- Uhm, climate control not always up to the job,

But great car overall - worthy every penny and more over the S4!

Try the same thing in an M3 or Carerra and then you will realise that it isn't that bad at all. As for the Air-Con, no one does this like the Americans, it's the one thing they are good at.

I hate that the washer fluid tank is only 4 litres or so in capacity - had 7.8l in my A4 and 6l in the S3.

iPod option should display names and stuff but otherwise it does its job.

Front suspension should be 2cm lower for better looks (yes I know about H&R :P).

Hmm - love all the rest. ;)

I think that the AC is same than normal A4. It really isn't that good. But in new A6 it is a lot better! So maybe next A4 will have it better.

Thanks Dave. Now I get it.

Hey, Mr User, not an english problem, just a typo. You used the word dood! I think you meant door...

Another one that agree with the suspension lowering .

QuattroFun , about the 4th gear , the MTM exhausts with the "catalists" makes an improvement in the torque at low revs , and not a little one .

What I donīt like is the weight , needs a strict diet (Gallardo Superleggera style). What I like , well , the car .:rs4addict

Oh speaking of lack of lower-rev-range oomph - try a 911 4S with the power kit where the peak power is at 7000rpm or so. Peak torque is aroung 6400 I believe - would have to check the graphs, but the RS4 is much faster from low revs. Though being used to a turbo on my S3 you do need to get up into the rev range. >6000rpm its a monster.
