Hi

Just bought an RS6, 2003. Fantastic car:addict: .
Do you have any good recommendations about tires for the summer.
The size is 255*25*19 and I really like to have great tires that is good in heavy rain. By the way does anybody know what the original on the car was?

Tks for the help!!

Original size is 255/35-19 and I would definetly go for this size. I have good experience with Bridgestone RE 050A.

mn - where are you located on the globe?

Original size is 255/35-19 and as OTT said I would definetly go for this size - what you have is too small.

I've used Dunlop SP9000 and Pirreli P Zero Rosso (I think - I would have to go and look ...). Dunlop is very noisy when thread is about half way down specially on concrete surface highways.

Can't speak for Bridgestone, was not aware that they even make this size - live and learn

PS2s have become the apparent favorite in the states. Here, Audi of America recommends an Extra Load rating for all RS6 tires, and the only ones available here with those ratings (at last count) are the Michelins, Pirellis and Dunlops. Only the Pirellis and Dunlops were available at the time of OEM, and only in 18" (no OEM 19s here); some US cars came with one brand, some the other. But once the PS2s came out they seem to have become more popular than the other two.

I too have the Michelin Pilot Sport, ZR speed indication (>240 km/h) but I'm still puzzled what the maximum allowed speed is.

You need to add TOYO T1-R to the list.

I have 1/2 worn Toyos and the road noise is bad, especially on concrete roadways. I've owned a number of cars with wide low-profile tires, and the Toyos are among the loudest. When these wear a bit more I'll likely replace them with PS2s. I have these tires on two other cars with no issues.
