Sad to say, but I doubt we will see Audi in F1 any time soon and I put it down to the piss-poor job the other two German manufacturers have done in recent years.

My only concern is now that Porsche have bought a controlling share of VAG, what will happen to the race program that Audi are already committed to?

Maybe this isn't that far away from true, look at this situation from this angle...

Porsche is now controling VAG, yes?

Porsche is ''owner'' of Le Mans for 30-40 years in lower classes, yes?

Porsche is coming in to big class with RS Spider, yes?

Audi is waiting for them there, yes?

I think that they are going to ditch audi from Le Mans and clear them way for dominating it the bigest Le Mans class, in the same time they are going to put into F1, why?

Becouse two biggest rivals are there, and no matter to pure results they are basing their marketing strategy on thos ''F1 tehnologies'' and ''F1 expiriences'', for exemple, BMW - V10, remember all those pic's and tests of new M5 and BMW F1 car.

MB has done that wehn they presented new 63 AMG engine, it's high reving V8 N/A engine, something like F1, just LITLE BIT BIGER :)

Not to mention Ferrari and it's super-profit on those ''F1 tehnologies'' on their cars...:eye:

Audi don't have that, they can't relay on LM car, it's not that comercial.

Next, very important matter is that Audi is curently compiting with DIESEL engine, and, I thing, Ferdinand Piech is back on work in VAG, and one of his bigest dreams is to see some VAG car compiting in F1 with DIESEL engine, so maybe this story isn't un-realistic.

will see.
