IS the new S5 coming to the states? If it is when?

Late fall for manual, and six months after that for automatic (possibly DSG)

I do hope that the normal automatic gearbox is only available for the standard A5 cars with the S5 only being offered with either manual and DSG. No sporty car should be offered with a full automatic, you don't get a full automatic Ferrari, Lamborghini, BMW M and neither should you get a S/RS.
I hope that when the DSG does finally make it to production that will indeed be the case.
