I thought the car was meant to be front engined, I doubt with the new laws that here was be enough space between engine and hood to allow the normal 911 nose.

The more I look at it, the more it looks like a Carrera GT with the roof extended and two extra doors, does anyone feel the same.:eye:

God I hope it does look like that, that will be even sexier than the Rapide. And that is THE sexiest 4 door out there so far. Come on Porsche build it just like that.

Actually this is one of the earlier pics and this not how it will actually look like. Production or close to production Panamera pics were printed in CAR Magazine's February issue together with some basic information.

Two models will be launched first as 2009 models, 4,8 l. 400 hp. 1800kg rwd base model and 500 hp. 1950 kg rwd Turbo. AWD and V6 will appear year later in 2010 and hybrid in 2011. No diesel, no V10. Gearbox will be DSG unit by ZF.

In that case (if no AWD and V10),I'd rather wait for the new RS6....

Here is possibly the best picture of the car to date.

I reckon it will be a seller, keeps the brand nose without looking out of place. I would order one if, 1 - I had the cash and 2 - it was awd.

Yeah, i like that the 911 is still looking the same. But new models could really be new models.

It's very interesting that Porsche used the M5 as a test mule in it's early development, why not a A6 or A8?

Was this before the VW/Porsche share buying?
