wonderfull plate :-)

but ... as the owner seems to be using the car ... he can't be really ruined as I don't think that running the Veyron is really cheap.

but ... just my thougths.

but ... totally other thing -> is it true ... that plates like that are really sold on an (more or less) open market in GB???
-> I just found an ebay - auction for a funny plate lately where the owner wanted not less than 99.000 $ for his plates.

just curious about that cause in Austria you can just register "custom" plates when they're free (noone other uses the same string in your disrict). well ... and when the plates you want are free you have to pay at about € 150 extra at your car registration.

mr I've noticed that too some time ago, loads of license plates are being auctioned on ebay.co.uk, called "cherished plates"

Yes it is true that these plates are on the open market here in the UK. Each no.plate is unique no matter which 'state' you are in. I.e every vehicle registered in the UK has its own unique registration no.

Private plates are BIG business here in the UK. I think the record is around £250,000 for the no. plate S1NGH.

I have been fortunate with my Surname being Sura, therefore I have a number of personalised reg plates ending in 5URA...
