Not bad. The A4 should be a looker. Does the article say that it will be 4.8 meters (189 inches) long?

189 inches?! That's 3 inches short of an A6...that has to be wrong.

Has no one noticed that the rear view looks a lot like the new 3 series coupe.

Well this is the same everyone is quoting for the A5 so I must assume that the A4 will at least share the A5 length if not a little more being the more practical version.:brag:

Though I see the similarity with the rear of the BMW and if you took the Audi rings off it and put a BMW badge most here would have been fooled into thinking it was a Beemer, I don't think that is a bad thing. The current 3 series coupe is quite possibly the best looking BMW at present and if Audi was to use some styling points from it that's OK in my book.:thumb:

I WANT THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!
If it looks like this, I'll feel sorry for E90 and W204.

The Huckfeldt/autobild ones look much better.
But the A4 will also not look like that.

Btw. does anybody know the difference between S- and R-Tronic??
S-Tronic is DSG and R-Tronic is a autobox used also in the R8 and Gallardo.

yes, this is what i already knew, but
isn't the R-tronic also a double clutch?
So far i know, no double clutch.

R-Tronic is the same gearbox design as used in the R8, Gallardo, F430 and the Aston Martin V8 Vantage Sport-Shift. All of the above use activators to change gear for you but only have a single clutch.

S-Tronic also known as DSG uses two clutches but the gearbox is designed totally different than a normal box, in 6 speed form 1,3,5 are assigned one clutch and 2,4,6 are assigned the other clutch. The set-up in original form came about from the gearbox that was design for the MK1 TT 225 Quattro which though had a normal gear lever also had two clutches, I think it was design this way for space and then later converted to DSG.

Sorry if my explanation isn't that great.

Hm you're sure?

The only info i could read on the audi-details page, said that it is a double disk clutch ?

Yes this fact i also knew, btw. there is a 7-speed DSG planned for the Audi shooting brake (if i remember right).
Hm but i think the thing with the TT might be wrong?
As i heard that it was originally designed for the R32 mk1.
Because of the high torque of 320nm they've choosen a fluid running clutch. Or am i wrong?

2002 was the R32 already introduced, but the TT 3.2 came middle or end of 2003 ?

I don't doubt that the R32 got the gearbox first, VW are the parent company and rightly should get the box first. The point I was making was that the gearbox was designed from the TT225, of this I am sure.

And the TT225 box is designed from the Audi Sport Quattro box idea. ;)

I agree, I am betting on Huck's interpretations to be the most accurate. The AMS chops look absolutely hideous.

Hi,

Here is a work I'vr done around a speculation of the next A4 and A7. I think that lot of curved lines will be integrated in the audi design language. But this model is only my first 3d modelling and design work.

Awesome work Gabby. I love the side profile the best. Looks very sleek and the lines make sense!. Only one things bothers me about the side; the rear looks a bit 'g35' ish. But other than that, its absolutely fantastic.

Excellent job  :dig: :thumb:
