Hi

I have only ever seen "avant" estate versions of the older RS4 before the new saloon model was introduced last year. Was there ever a saloon version before 2006? If so does anyone have or know of any pics please?

Are all RS4's and RS6's automatics or do any come with manual gear shifts?

The B5 RS4 came only in avant and manual. The B7 comes in sedan, avant and cabrio and manual gearbox. The RS6 only came in sedan and avant and only automatic. Hope that answers all your questions!

It won't - manual only.

I know of one custom B5 RS4 Sedan built by Quattro GmBH for a tuner company that is an RS4 sedan located in Germany. I wil find pics and post them. Car was muguello blue.

Thanks for your help guys. Does anyone have a link to a photo of the B7 sedan RS4? What years was it manufactured and what engine specs/power did it have?

What is the very latest version that came out last year called (same as the red one that was featured on Top Gear), is it called the B8?

The Latest RS4 is the B7. It was produced 2007 and maybe next year i would guess. It has a 4.2L FSI 420 Hp V8. Pictures in the following post.

i also remember one guy who built one with mtm, can't remember where i saw that, but the guy really made it look like audi built it. It was a great project. Don't if M Balsen can help us on this one!!

The black one I posted was originally an A4 1.8T quattro AFAIR. Upgraded to a 2.7TT with over 400HP and RS4 look of course.
