new toy - RS2 Avant

Picked it up on tuesday evening at the very east part of Norway. It is a 1994 Audi RS4 Avant. In mint condition and 100% stock. It has had two owners (one guy, and one dealer), and it is an absolute blast to drive. Took some time to get used to the turbo lag though, hehe. Interior is recaro seats with black leather and grey alcantara inserts. It's run 140.000kms with a complete service history at Audi or Porsche dealers.:thumb: It is on snow tires and winter rims in the photos.

On my way to Bergen, a "normal" Audi 80 Avant pulled up next on me on the ferry, and it was the first time I ever saw these to "Dr.Jekyll & Mr.Hyde" together in person. It was very interesting, but I think the owners of the 80 thought I was some boy racer with a bodykit and ''5 exhaust........hehe, they looked awfully strange at me. They should have known..:lovl:

Still my favourite 5 cylinder 20V Turbo Audi with 315 hp.
That engine would still be a top engine today, if that was mounted transeverse in the new TT.

Congratulation! RS2 is a very nice car.The shape of the old 80 series is still very nice, i had an Audi 80 in the early '90s.That was the car which made me an Audi lover.:incar:

That's my favourite Audi ever... such an awesome machine. Love them! When the summer arrives and summer rims are put on on, more pics!!!! :D

They are great cars- have a silver 96' one in the family and it's been fantastic. Still feels so quick too (sensation is 'helped' by that lag then BANG), and it climbs to over 200km/h so quickly. Interestingly, its torque to weight ratio is nearly the same as a new RS4, peaks 410nm @ 3000rpm and even has 400nm available from 2800 - 4900rpm! Great figures from that motor and more so for its age. Happy driving!


Also- those Porsche rims are often on RS2s, are they not 16 inch? The standard wheels are 17 inch?

I am going to keep it stock, except from the porsche big brake upgrade kit. The summertires are stock '17 porsche wheels with audi center cup (the porsche center cup is NOT standard!)hehe The accelleration of 0-100kms of 4,8seconds is the same as the B7 RS4? It took some time to adjust to the turbo lag, but no i quite like it. Is is very good fun when some who doesn't know what it is, to point it straight on the gighway and floor it in 2nd, 3rd and hit the brakes at top 4th...haha. They seem to get that combined WTF!?/wow face :)

4.8 seconds to 100 km/h? That is faaast, it's said to do it in 5.3. Maybe they are that quick? :D

I've driven it about 3000km's now, and the "Smile per mile" value is rigt up there with modern high performace cars.. I also had the joy to smoke some rich dude in a 911 on the highway......he drove up on the side and reved his engine...at first I thought he got me, but at 110km/h and closing in on the "hyperspace button"-3800rmp, I blew past him..hehe sweet :)
