Hi there,

I've been around reading through the site in the last few months, and well, because of your descriptions on how good it drives :hihi:, I bought one "beast" last week. It's a stock 2002/12 Avant with 30000km, in a good shape. It's servicing in Audi now, just to check if everything is right. I'll have it in the 19th, so by then I'll post some photos.. repetitive ones, but heck, its a :addict: .

Question being, in a relaxed drive :incar: , not a traffic jam or on a highway driving at 300km/h, what's your average fuel consuption ?

Thanks for your answers,

Myst (waiting for the :mech: )

Hi Myst,

Good to see another RS6 on the board, can't wait to see your pics. :addict:

You can see my average fuel consumption in my signature.

Relaxed driving without any stop/start you can get to about 11-13 l/100 km. Driving fast won't get you below 16-17 l/100km.

I drove an average 211 km/h on the E411 in Belgium coming from Luxemburg. Fuel consumption was about 26,3 l/100km.
Absolute record I heard of uptill now stands with member Wolfi: He drove a 100km at an average speed of about 270 km/h on the A5 coming from Baden-Baden. Fuel consumption 40 l/100km :jlol:

Enjoy your beast!

Hi LU-RS6.
Thanks for the welcome.
The RS6 spends less fuel then my previous 99 S4. Relaxed drive won't go bellow 15l/100km. Agressive rides (200) was about 25 l/100km.

according to google:

19,5 miles per gallon = 12,0622864 l/100km

very impressive :thumb: Strangelly, my 2 other cars spend more :eye:

You Americans "think" the other way around... :dig:

US/GB: How much distance can I travel with 1 fuel unit.
Metric: How much fuel units do I spent when travelling some distance (100km)

That's really good averages you both get.

Thanks again for the welcome.

My average is around 14,5, but we have 90 kmh speed limit, so not much fast driving. If you go fast that would be few L higher, but as long as its below 50 l/100, I wouldn't care much.:D

I believe you may have converted this using the U.S gallon - which is about 3.87 litres.

BBIGMAN will be referring to the :D 'proper' gallon :D - which is 4.54 litres - making the conversion about 14.2L/100km.

Lateknight: Oh I see.... you have Gallons.. and Gallons :D. Strange ppl live in America :P

LU-RS6: great webpage you have there. You use 98 Octane no? Asking because the price/l here for 95 O is 1,2 euros, and for 98O is now at 1,4.

But as ott said, doesn't reach 50, its ok :)
I might use it every day for telecommute.

Thanks for all the Info :)

You use 98 Octane no?

Myst,

There is no point in using 95 Octane to save money because the engine will be less economical on 95 than on 98 octane. I always use 98 as it's also better for the engine.
