I opened up my baby for the first time last night to about 180km/h and the TPMS warning came on in RED.

Checked the tire pressures - they're OK. Turned her on again, went around 160-180 again. and it came on once more.

I'm guessing the speed at which they are spinning is causing the error. Any ideas as to what this could be? Faulty sensor? Loose battery?

The best way to diagnose the problem is to look at the fault log of the TPMS controller using VAG-COM. That will tell you which wheel sensor is reporting a fault and what the fault is.

Shouldn't be a loose battery - they are internal to the wheel sensor and have a life of 5-7 years.

Oh so its smart now. :) Cool - BMW wheel sensors don't tell you sh!te when they fail. Had to take off all 4 tires on my moms car and replace each sensor.

Will get the dealer to hook me up when I'm close...

Thanks for the help yet again! :)
