According to the car owner (on another forum)

the car is only remaped from Digitec and they give me only 20hp more with no more RPM to play with

0-200 in 13.5 or 14 seconds... with times of these it has more harnesses

210 km/h on speedo is true 200 km/h and it is 16 sec.Perhaps it is downhill...

I've watched it twice now and to me it looks like 0-220km/h in 16 seconds. If so then that's a 0-200km/h of about 14 seconds or put it another way, the match for a M5v10smg and would destroy a manual version.

If you watch it better you see that begins accelarating from standstill on 4th sec and 4000 revs/min from the begining of the video. He achieved 220 km/h on 22 sec-4 sec the beginning of the video=18 sec.
I did the same today and with launch from standstill but only 1000 revs/min.

I did the same and my car is stock.I have slower 0-100 km/h because of slower launch for protecting the clutch disc.

KK265,

Yeah you're right , oh well anyway it's still a very impressive time, 137mph in 16 seconds. The best I have achieved with my S4v8 is 125mph in 18.4 seconds two-up and that's enough to see off an M3.

Its very fast. dropping the clutch at 4000rpm is a very big difference!!!!

I had an M3 and S4 V8 is really...really slower than an M3 E46!

Can't understand how you do it???:vhmmm:

PS: and i'm objectiv 'cause i had an RS4 B5 and i ride actually an RS4 V8.

Concerning digitec, where is it located please?

Wow, that is fast for a S4V8. Much quicker than the times magazines get when theyre testing...! :incar:

I know, I have put mine up against M3s, a Cayman S and an M5 (last model). I have never lost to a standard M3 (all versions) though that's not to say there isn't quicker ones out there than mine. The Cayman S is meant to be quicker but just isn't, though there wasn't that much in it and finally the M5 was a real surprise as I thought that it would have given me a real beating but didn't happen (we are still side by side after four gears).

Maybe it's the way it was run in or the lack of. :jlol:

Heh street races don't tell that much if you don't know the other driver and make many tests. So about all the magazines are wrong and street races the truth? How did you count that 18.4s. From speedo? But still the difference between M3 and S4 is so small that every movement play BIG part.

Speedou,

Yes from speedo but only after checking it on a Sat/Nav to see how much it was out be which was 3mph and then with a passenger on the stopwatch accelerated to 103mph. I know it's not 100% accurate but it not going to be too far away.

Do you know something about the accuracy of M3 speedo?

They are about the same as Audi's. By the way the 18.4 sec time stated was to 125mph not 100mph, that was just to show the accuracy of the speedo.

My friends M3 shows 270 when real speed is 259.
