What? RS 6 Comes w/ Six-Speed Tip

Perusing the "My Audi Journey" site and find the mention under "Interior Details" of a "six-speed Tiptronic." Is this for real or a typo?

Typo or misunderstanding I think.

But the new S4 will have six-speed tip.

The new MBs will have 7-speed autos :bang:

I think it's just "MY" Audi that has the "special" 6-speed Tip. They must have constructed a special website just for ME; I now rescind every bad thing I have said about AOA. ;-)

Received a nice, printed '04 Audi catalog via post and in there they also spec. the '03 RS 6 with a "6-speed Tiptronic." Now, you'd think they would proof the fancy, glossy catalog, no? Intriguing.

I would call my dealer, but alas, they are always clueless.

AoA clearly has outsourced the RS6 site to an ad/PR firm. Look at the return addres on the package you got from FedEx. Not that it makes the mistakes any better, but it is probably not auto enthusiasts revieing this text.

A source from Audi North America responded to my question on this subject this morning and confirmed that it is a typo on the web site that will be corrected. All available sources that they have confirm a 5 speed Tiptronic. FWIW!
