i just saw 50k km's come up after a day-long drive down country to a circuit 300kms from here for some audi driver training. along the way are some opportunities to drive fast on challenging but stunningly picturesque roads. thin ribbons or tortured tarmac threaded beside crystal clear lakes. in these conditions this car seems to shrink around you and just "dial in", riding the dips and crests at insane speeds. cornering flat and accurately with little scrub and the feeling of enourmous reserves. it is thoroughly engrossing and intoxicting.
i have resolved that i spend too much time tootling around town in this beautiful car, it is made for the types of roads i saw today.
