Hello all,

Has anyone figured out a way to make the front parking sensors on the us-spec RS6 actually work? I know the european-spec cars actually have them functional, but for whatever reason the us-spec ones are not.

Thanks,

Marcus

The US-spec cars have fake plugs as front parking sensors. Good Luck getting something functional.

Jimmy,

I'm sure it isn't that difficult. I've seen Mercedes-Benz cars retrofitted with Parktronic sensors when they were not fitted from the factory. If the parts are available, it's just a matter of getting a list an installing them. The RS6 is all CANBUS so that makes it quite easy.

Just curious if anyone has actually done it.

Regards,

Marcus

you need:

4b1 971 095a - wiring for front bumper parktronic
4b0 919 275f - parktronic sensors (x4) - need a colour match
4b0 919 279 - buzzer

the mountings for the parktronic sensors are not available....

Dave,

Thank you for your post! This is what forums are all about.

If the mountings for the parktronic sensors are not available, how would you suggest to mount them?

Marcus
