When you listen to the last 20seconds you understand why Audi is the quicker/better all-rounder car. 'it's the easier car for the average driver to drive quicker', enough said.:D

You know what, if the humble RS4 can give the Carrera C4S such a hard time in a comparison test, this surely points to a promising result for the R8 when the two finally are tested together.

Leadfoot, once again, your right there mate.

I know everyone wanted more power and less weight for the R8, but this car is gonna rock. Just wait and see friends...:dig:

Jus want to get some quick opinion. Is the 997 C2S manual transmission as slick and good as the RS4? I really love my RS4 gearbox!

BryanF
December 7th, 2006, 04:10
I can't talk for the 997 but the manual transmission in my 996 is more direct and has a better feel than the RS4.
The 996 feels typically Porsche enginered and very tight and accurate the way it slots gears....the RS4 whilst very good ,feels a bit notchy and loose by comparison.
The 996 is the easier car to drive smoothly with manual transmission.

But I just loooove driving my RS4.............

BryanF, I love the pictures - fantastic cars and colors! BTW, I really like the wheels on your Porsche - what are they? Those wheels really add to the looks of your Porsche!

Sarends

Thanks ....I like them both a lot !!!!

The wheels are Cargraphic rims same size as standard ( 18 inch )and run original spec tyres.I was talked out of 19 inch wheels because of deterioration of ride quality on 996's.They do make the car look a lot fatter than normal because of the deep dish.It certainly turns heads on the road.....:love2:
