I find that info on the engineer hard to believe, most of those positions have contracts that do not allow the employee to work on another rival company.

Cheers,

Javier

I seem to remember reading a few years back this guy was dutch, so i put 'Dutch' 'BMW' & 'Audi' into Google and found this;

....To make sure that this was more than an advertising slogan, Audi adopted a remarkably simple tactic: namely, if you cant beat em, join em or more accurately, poach em. BMWs 3 Series was identified as the benchmark and Jos Van As, BMWs Dutch engineering Chief, targeted as the man responsible for its class-leading handling. He was offered too much money to turn down and joined Audi back in 1997 as Manager of Vehicle Dynamics. The results of his work are now becoming very apparent...

I was aware Audi had poached someone from BMW (didn't think it was as long ago as '97 though), also didn't realise he'd gone back to BMW...nothing to do with money I suppose !!:deal:
