(RUF Rt12 does it in 24.8) :cool:

The 997TT is faster than the Z06 up to 300 km/h :eek:

I got really impressed by the 599, 335 km/h, 10.3 to 200 and 29.9 to 300 is damn fast! Fun to see that the Turbo beats the Z06 to 300, I like that! :D

But as you mentioned, would be fun to see a RT12 in a test like that.... :D The performance on that car is just sick! Especially when you take cost into it...

Agreed Ben, the 250km/h is more relevant than the other as after this speed it's not how big the engine/horsepower output your car has, but the size of your balls in relation to how small your brain is.:D

That's true. Look at the Ferrari F40, about 480hp and 580Nm or so.
The F40 does 0-200 somewhere between 11 - 12s

The main issue with Lambo's are that are toys to show off, not really to race. One of the comparos did a review on the first Murcielago vs a bunch of other cars and while it was fast in straight line, it didnt have near the controllability of the cheaper F360.

For a stock LP640 0-200km/h in 11 sec (or in close proximity) is the best they can do.
Without some radical mods,to get that car to low 10s ,much less 9s is virtually impossible.

I think you are blind.

There is no way you can manage a 9 seconds run in the LP640.

Here's another 12,7 sec run, as tested by AMS.

I feel your pain. I personally much prefer a Lambo to a Ferrari. I think it was Sinatra who once said, "Guys who think they've made it, buy Ferraris. Guys who know they have made it, buy a Lamborghini". :applause:

But no one is "picking" on Lambo (although I will admit most car publications are heavily biased towards Ferrari.

Take your TopGear complaint. A few months ago, EVO compared a Evo FQ-400 against a Pagani... no one said they were "picking" on Pagani...

And a lot of mags like the Gallardo/M5 comparo since they both run V10s... nothing personal. ;)

As Benman said, the M5 Vs Gallardo is down to their V10 cinfugration, not because it's a Lambo. Likewise, the TopGear test with the Murcie Vs Mitsu EVO was illustrating a 4WD Supercar against a 4WD Super-saloon.

Top Gear put the Evo FQ-400 up against the Murcielago (an "old" one, not the LP640) just to prove it was capable of keeping up with the Murcielago just cause of all its fancy electronics, they also said it does 4mpg :) So, I don't think there's a trend of trashing Lamborghini's. I think at this level of performance and price differences are small, but what do I know, I've never driven a Lamborghini or an EVO (yet) :p

Don't know either, but it's the same on an M5, tested and proved. As well as 5-series models takes the speed somewhere back. Beacuse when another wheel is spinning (don't remember eather one?) the speedo comes up.

If this is the case then the speedo cable must either be connected to the rear axle or the gearbox. This maybe normal practise, but I have never my S4 do it even in the snow, though come to think about it, I had an old XR2 (Ford Fiesta) for those of you not in Europe and it also jumped when the wheels spun.
